Missionaries on Anguilla

Erald & Therese Edwards

Serving the Lord since 1961!....  Brother Edwards was born on the island of Barbados, his wife Therese was born on St. Vincent 90 miles west of Barbados.  Their paths crossed in 1961 and began working for the Lord together.  Married in 1964 they are blessed with three children, Evangeline, Edwin and Erwin.  There children are each saved and serving the Lord.

The Edwards have planted churches in St. Vincent, St. Lucia and currently on Anguilla.  Anguilla is the Northern most Island, 3 by 13 miles, in the Eastern Caribbean.  It lies 200 miles east of Puerto Ricowith a population of 13, 000 people.  Tourism is the main industry there.

Brother Edwards began his ministry on Anguilla in 1989. He and his wife served at one church until 1996 when they started Faith Baptist Church.  Faith Baptist Church was started in the home of Brother and Sister Gerald Vanterpool.

Missionary Pastor Earld Edwards is now on two radio stations, Radio Caribbean Lighthouse and Harbor Light. This is a fruitful ministry in the Islands of the Caribbean.

Using the Atlantic Ocean as our baptismal pool.
Three young men were baptized.

When the Vanterpool home became too small, a small house on their properity was offered with permission to expand it.

Shortly after dedication of the new building we needed more Sunday School space. This was added.

You will note this was taking place in the Vanterpool's yard. The Vanterpools gave us a quarter acre of land for the church.

Evangelist Brendon Blevins and group from North Carolina helped us.

We are now clearing land to build a new Church building.
