Meet our Founder and General Director.

Dr. and Mrs James A Ellis

Dr. Ellis has been in Christian work since 1950. The first part of his ministry was involved in home prayer meetings, helping to start local churches and radio work. Following that, he pastored an Independent Baptist Church for 13 years, which included 11 years of being associated with missions.

The Lord has continually burdened his heart about areas in America that do not have a good gospel witness. God has led him to establish and incorporate a home mission board, Fundamental Baptist Home Missions, Incorporated, which has at its heart the starting of indigenous local Baptist Churches. .

Fundamental Baptist Home Missions, Inc. was begun in June 1982, as a result of a burden for Fundamental Baptist Churches to be established in areas without a gospel witness and to strengthen the local church through missionary evangelism.

Dr. Ellis and his wife Lucille are dedicated laborers for Jesus Christ. The subject of home and world missions is the center of their heart. Their lives have been dedicated to this ministry for many years.

Recently, Kitts and St Lucia Proved to be a Great Success for the Lord Jesus Christ.

In1623, Sir Thomas Warner, his family, and fourteen others arrived on the island at what is now Sandy Point. These English settlers were soon followed by Pierre Belain d'Esnambue, leader of French settlers, in 1625. The two groups wiped out the inhabitants of the island, Arawaks and Caribs, in a massacre at Bloody Point in 1626. African people were brought to the island from the 1630's to work as slaves on sugar and tobacco plantations. As a result, a rich culture combining elements from Africa, Europe and native America has derived. The culture of St. Kitts is lovely and interesting.

We were privileged to hold a missions conference on the island of St. Kitts with Brother St. Clair Archibald, approved at Jubilee in April as missionary. His congregation was truly a blessing to us.

While with Pastor Archibald we were able to meet two other independent Baptist preachers on St. Kitts.

Pastor Norris Belcher and Larry Staner were blessed in preaching the annual Sword Conference with Bro. Sammy Philpert. There were a number of professions of faith at this meeting. Many pastors and missionaries came in for the Soul Winning Conference. These men went out every day "soul winning".

Needs. We are still praying that the Lord will send us a printer and an office secretary. A person desiring to serve the Lord could learn to be a printer. This is an opportunity to serve Jesus Christ in your vocation; The office is still short one secretary. Call us to apply.
